I am an independent game designer, developer and founder of Gulzila studio based in Taipei, Taiwan. Currently we focus on mobile 2D games but as we grow, I will be expanding to 3D and other platforms.
Before I worked on mobile games, I've been designing interactive products across a variety of industries. I have worked on mobile apps and online products for startups and large corporations. My work was primarily in financial and research sector.
I begin project by looking at a problem from user's perspective. During research I conduct interviews to gain understanding of their goals, needs and frustrations. It is an important step that will ensure that design solution address these findings.
Once I have a good understanding of user needs, I will workshop with stakeholders to create personas, map user's journey to get a guidance for my designs and focus on areas that are key for creating a tailored experience.
As direction becomes clearer, I put together a prototype of ideas and test them with users to ensure that implementation meets their needs and helps them achieve their goals.
With each new iteration, design gets adjusted. From a vast variety of ideas, direction is refined and tested to ensure I am on the right path.
